I love this product. We got it as a gift for my sons second birthday and for a while he just pushed buttons but then around 2 and 1/2 things started to click. He would tell me "B is for balloon" and now at 2 years and only 7 months he's WRITING recognizable letters. And as a side note... we took this to a friends house the other day and discover it's VERY durable. I highly recommend it.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas last year. She started Pre-K this fall ( first time in an educational environment ) already able to write her own name and the rest of the alphabet. She loves this toy, and loves that she can write letters as well as draw pictures and shapes on it. Her 18-month old brother also loves to play with it and he can be pretty tough on toys, so it has proven to be very durable too. The battery compartment cover broke but only as a result of being stepped on. I highly recommend this item!
