Plug your child into a sensational, interactive reading experience! Create-A-Story is an interactive platform that helps children discover the love of reading through the magic of Disney stories. Create-A Story features the story of Tigger's Shadow of a Doubt which comes with two booklets, Read-A-Story and Create-A-Story and one software cartridge. Choose Read-A-Story mode to hear a selected story and to play various learning activities. When your child touches words with the stylus they will hear them sounded out. Touching Honey Pots will launch a range of reading skill builder games on each page. When the entire story is read and animated on-screen, each word is highlighted to establish the connection between the written word and the spoken story. The learning is literally all in your childs hands and directed through his or her own discovery process. Choose Create-A-Story mode to let your child create and animate his own story. He will first input his own name, then choose his own characters, settings, and actions. Then watch while he lights up with pride as his own story featuring his name animates on the TV Screen. Traveling and on the go? Not a problem! Create-A Story books work without a TV, so the stories and fun travel with you. Separate Disney Titles are available each featuring a Create-A-Story and Read-A-Story book for double the value and fun. Easy play and set up means even your 3 year old can change the story!

My son received this for his 4th birthday, he loves it. It gives him something to do besides watch T.V. as I prepare supper or am busy working around the house.

My grandson enjoys the product, however on the first one I purchased the on/off switch quit working, the second one did not work at all, the third one from Vtech itself works but the cartridge is very hard to seat properly so that it comes on. A redesign of this part would be best.
