This is a great educational toy. My grandson has learned the letters of the alphabet at age 20 months. He is doing very well with phonics and is working on the addition and substraction features. He is capable of doing the letter recognition on other readings which is a proven factor that the Tote n Go Laptop is a great learning tool. My grandson is bilingual, I wish it would have come in Spanish as well.

I bought the older model for my son when he was 2 and he learned all his letters in a matter of a week. After about a year, the mouse broke, so when my daughter was about 20 months, I bought her this new model. It was not anything compared to the older model and was not entertaining for either child. It did not teach the letters the way the other one did. This might be a bias comment, but compared to the other model of this laptop, it is horrible and I would not recommend.

We bought this for our daughters 2nd birthday. She started taking a strong interest in it a month ago at the age of 2 years and 6 months. We work with her daily on it and in a matter of a week she can now recognize and say EVERY letter in the alphabet. To test her further we got the flashcards out and she said every letter on every card. I don't think we would have reached this milestone so quickly and easily if it wasn't for the Vtech Laptop... not to mention that it has made learning fun for her! We are now focusing on numbers and simple math with the Vtech Laptop. For the price and everything it offers you can't go wrong!

My daughter really enjoys her little laptop. The mouse is just the right size for her hands. She is 4 and some of the games are not easy for her to understand, but with my help she is able to get them so it can be a toy that parent and child spend quality time together. At the same time there are enough games she can play on her own while mommy gets her work done or is on business calls. The volume control is AWESOME! Whoever put that into the design should get a medal...lol.

I thought this would be a step up from the Fisher Price Fun 2 Learn computer my daughter already had.
It engaged her for a few days because it was new but she has not played with it much after that. She is 3 1/2. The screen is so small that some of the graphics are hard to see.
