I purchased this toy for my grandchildren. We already had the talking "alphabet" toy for the fridge, but with 10+ grandkids, ONE toy just wasn't enough!! It still isn't, because every one of them prefer to play with this toy instead of the other one!!! Our granddaughters even made "menus," of what they wanted for dinner, on the fridge with the food items. I don't know what the problem is with the other consumer having it hold on her fridge; it stays on ours just fine (until one of the kids takes it off, that is!! LOL). I was searching for one to buy for one of the kids for christmas this year for their own home, and I'm disappointed to learn that they're no longer available!!

I love this magnet set! Before I was using the letter magnets that you get at any toy store and my son swallowed one of the tiny magnets that fell out of the back of one. These ABC food fun are big enough that my kids can't swallow and the magnets are inside the plastic. My 10 month old loves the individual letters and my 2 years old loves to put them in the fridge. So they get to play together with out me worrying. I love it!

My son has had this toy since before he turned one and he absolutely loves it. All of his friends that come over love it as well. It keeps him occupied for hours and has proven to be very durable. He throws the letters on the floor repeatedly and has even thrown the refrigerator, even though we try to put this up high when he is in the throwing mood! The nice lady who speaks keeps us entertained while we are cooking and if you (the child) don't know what letter or food she is asking for, she even gives extra hints!

This looks great, but does not hold well on the refridgerator...the magnets are too weak and you need to place a stronger magnet below in order for this toy to hold up well on the refridge...It is good to play on the floor or out for travel in the car. Also, this teaches my in-laws some english words...so it's not that bad.
