I do not recommend this product for any child who does not know the meaning of the words 'before' and 'after.' When in ABC mode, which is supposed to teach a child letters, the toy asks two different questions, "Can you help me find the letter _?" or "Which letter comes before/after _?" The "Which letter" questions far outnumber the "Can you help me find" ones and are extremely confusing for a child. If it asks, "Which letter comes before L?," the L will light up leading my 2-year-old son to press the L. I'm not sure how kids are to learn letters by this method. My son is drawn to the toy and plays with it, but does not get any clapping for a correct answer unless an adult plays with him. We bought this to replace a hand-me-down VTech Alphabet Desk which was wonderful!! Of course, that product has been discontinued and that one actually helped to teach my son the letters he does know. Bring the Alphabet Desk back!

This product is really engaging, it keeps my 2 yr olds attention. We had originally got it as a present for a friend ( 3 yr old) my son liked it so much we got him one too. I like how when an question is answered correctly all the letters light up, and makes a cheering sound.

My daughter got this as a gift for her birthday.
The ABC section. The toy asks what letter comes before the letter K, and the K lights up. Naturally by daughter picks the lighted button which is blinking and then gets buzzed for the wrong answer. It's like the toy leads you to the wrong answer. Under the button "Find" it will say what makes this sound. The toy will sound the sound of a snake and the letter S blinks. My child is not picking the sound of the snake, she is simply hitting the button that lights up. While the postive reinforcement helps her ego, she is really not learning anyhing except to his the lit up button. I think this toy is too confusing. I wish I had saved the box to take it back.

I purchased two of these for my twins, at the recomedation of a family member, this was a great buy, my kids love it, they continue to come back and play with it over and over, my twins are very different in their interests and they both love this for different reasons.
