I am very happy now that my son can play his games again on his V-Smile. I even had to buy him a Cyber Pocket so he can bring them with him when we go some where.

The one I ordered did not have wrting pad. I bought it so the kids could play the two player games and they really like it. One thing I noticed initially was the switch on the bottom that allows the controller to switch between right and left hand, seemed to get switched to easily and the kids could not figure out what happened. Either they figured it out or it fixed itself, because I have not witnessed it happening again. It is nice that they both can play the game together.

My kids love their Vtech. It came with one controller, but, we needed a second controller for the 2nd Child. Promotes learning - letters, numbers, spelling, math, etc. It's great. We also have the portable Vtech for trips.

within a couple of days of using the product I noticed that it would suddenly freeze. restarting the game console won't fix the problem on some games. just buy the new v motion instead.

THE CONSOLE I PURCHASED FOR MY SON CAME WITH THE JOYSTICK WITH THE WRITING PAD. I ORDERED ANOTHER UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT IT WOULD BE THE SAME TYPE OF JOYSTICK. I DID NOT KNOW THAT I WOULD BE SENT A JOYSTICK WITHOUT THE PAD. MY SON LIKES THE JOYSTICK WITH THE PAD BECAUSE SOME OF THE GAMES HE PLAYS REQUIRES USE OF THE PEN AND HE PERFERS USING THE PEN INSTEAD OF THE JOYSTICK. I WANTED TO EXCHANGE THE JOYSTICK BUT WAS TOLD THAT THE WRITING PAD WAS DISCONTINUED.
