Does not look good, I have the same problems with the bateries. When I went to replace the bateries the camera no longer worked. Hope I can have it replaced.

I was thinking Kids would have a blast taking pictures and making movies with their digital camera. However it has to work for that to happen.

good for older adults too.

My kids absolutely love this camera and it has been very durable. I bought a bigger memory card so the kids could take their own pictures while on holidays and was very disapointed when I spent money to develop all their pictures and they were such poor quality and grainy. You would have to develope in wallet size for them to be even usable and I'm not even sure that would work. Great for the kids as a game but not as a camera if you ever want to print their shots.

I bought this for my 6 year old son, Christmas present 2008, used it on occasion but definitely well taken care of and still looks like new a year later, but when replacing the batteries noticed that the camera no longer works. Let's see what the company will tell me when I give them call now in March 2010.

The camera is great. It hold 250 pictures,+ you can put a memory card in it, you can take videos. My handicap daughter loves it. The bad things are you have to change the batteries often. I changed so many times that the screw holes wore out. This is the 5th camera I have
bought since Christmas 2008. The last one I bought just quit working after 2 weeks.. Not happy with that.

Birthday gift for 5 year old--opened the camera, added the batteries, and the screen would not display the menu--therefore, it didn't work!!!
Sure makes ME disappointed I gave it as a gift rather than another brand

Most reviews mentioned slow shutter speed and screen refresh and I thought no problem - it's a camera for a 2 year old toddler - no big deal. Well it does! As he pans around with the camera and he can't relate to what he is looking on the LCD because it's slow to refresh. Also from the time he press the shutter to the time the camera actually takes the picture is a good 2-3 seconds. Come on my 5 year old phone camera can do better than that! So the product doesn't engage the child at all. Good idea but badly executed.

My daughter loves this camera! She got it for her fourth birthday and it has helped her fine motor skills, her sense of perception and her love of photography. She plays the video games on it while waiting in the car in the school pick-up line.It is surviving 2 kids and a puppy perfectly. Thank you!

I can't understand how this camera has gotten so many good reviews. The delay between pressing the button and the camera actually taking the picture is so long that it makes the camera impossible to use. I have an old 2 MPixel Kodak from the early days of digital cameras and the delay on that camera isn't nearly as bad as this one.
I bought this camera for my 3 year old son because he loves taking pictures with my camera and I wanted something he could use without worrying about it breaking. Unfortunately, this camera is so impossible to use that there's no danger of him ever breaking it. The camera is slow to respond to everything. Any time you push a button on it you have to wait so long for the camera to respond that you start to wonder if it's working at all. It's hard for me to operate the thing. I can't imagine how a 3 year old is supposed to be able to do it.
In addition to the delay when you are pushing buttons to change modes, settings, etc, the delay when you push the button to take a picture is so long that you can't possibly take a decent picture of anything that moves. Whenever I've tried to use this camera, I press the button, the picture on the screen freezes, I wait a few seconds wondering what's going on, I give up and turn the camera around to look at it and the camera finally snaps a picture of the floor. I wouldn't take this camera if someone offered it to me for free. It has been a huge disappointment.

this camera is well worth the price. very solid build. looks like its gonna live a long time. battery life is great, better than my 'grown up' cameras actually. picture quality is really good for what it is. the built in fotoshop really adds to the involvement of this product with the child. we love it.

My son had been requesting a camera for his birthday for about a month, usually his request changes but the camera request was consistent. I gave him this gift three days ago he hasn't put it down since. He has told me it is his favorite gift and he got a lot to choose from. This replaced his leapster as his "always in my hand" toy.

My six year old son (almost 7) has had so much fun with this camera. It is sturdy (a big plus, since my son dropped and broke his last camera.) It is fun and easy to use. He can add 10 seconds of audio to the photos and can take video as well. He likes to distort the photos or add cartoons to them such as bunny ears or a pig nose (all included). He can also play some simple games like tick-tac-toe, memory, and puzzels.
Do not expect a high quality photo or fast shutter speed. But he does not mind.
I would suggest this to any young child who seems to want to take photo all the time with your camera.

My 28-month-old daughter adores her camera. She had been fascinated with our camera and frequently asked to take photos, much to our dismay. To keep sticky fingers from pricey electronics, I bought the Kidizoom. Our daughter has so much fun taking photos of her knees and the floor beneath her. She doesn't use many features, but she has a great time. We sent the camera to daycare and all the kids took some hilarious shots. I bought a second camera for my 31-month-old niece. She will receive it as a reward for completing potty training. This has proven to be a very effective goal.
