Would be perfect except the battery life is SHORT )and it takes four batteries. And the sound keeps going out. The sound is not even working now and because this was a gift for my daughter I can not just take it back so i have to buy a new one.

got this toy for my 2yr and 10 month old daughter for Christmas 6 days ago, and she has played with it every day since for at least an hour. The batteries are still going strong without being charged. In the last week her visable discernment abilities have increased, and she is now amazing me with new skills in telling which animal is different than the others, where the matching letters are on the keyboard, how to rearange blocks to clear a path for a panguin to run through. She already new her shapes pretty well, but she loves the trace game anyways. This will deffinitely be a usefull tool in preparing her to read and do math. I'm glad I have given her a toy that she can measerably advance with day by day in fundamental ways.

This product is to complicated to use. The downloads is hard to get to and the site is confusing. It does not have good instructions for downloading the games nor connecting to the pc. I had to download the flash three times and I still have not got to download free games yet.

My 3 year old absolutely LOVES her mobigo the games are great they are very educational. We take it for long trips in the car and she loves to just sit and play around the house too, BUT I am now sending her MobiGo back for the 3rd time within the first year to be fixed! Last time they sent us a brand new one, but it wasn't even 2 weeks before the sound went. It goes in and out sometimes but usually its just static noises. I have made sure that this unit was taken care of very well, never dropped, or put in the toy box, but these toys are just not meant to last!

My 5 year old daughter loves her MobiGo. Since she is a rising 1st grader, we were worried about her being to old for the games, but it has worked out GREAT. It was very useful on the long trips that we have made this year. Our daughter was learning and didn't even know it. She has 5 games now & can play them all by herself. This alone makes her feel so proud. I love checking on her progress on the Learning Lodge Navigator. She is now playing games on a 2nd grade level & we have only had it for 1 month. THE MOBIGO IS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!

My two year old daughter finds the Touch screen absolutely easy and it's extremely durable and loads of fun. She loves playing with it and I love that she's learning something new everyday with it and it's helping her with motor skills and much much more. After exploring the keypad, she's even able to match letters from it with the on screen games with matching.

I also love that you can purchase a game cartridge that can hold dozens and dozens of games and can purchase them from online with many more games available, than just what they offer in store.

all i can say is wow! she has had this for 3 weeks and in the first day figured out the penguin game that came with and is now learnign her letters and numbers on other games. shes 3 and can almost identify half the alphabet now!

My daughters received this as well as the V-reader for Christmas and absolutley love it. For the first week they would not put it down. I was not impressed at the[$] you had to pay for other games but I recently noticed our local [...] store has dropped the games down to [$] which is awesome. Holds a long battery life, I would buy this one again.!

I bought this for my son when he was 3 (he is now 4). He has older siblings, so he calls it his DS! :) He love to hear that he has earned a reward and wants me to connect to the PC right away. As a parent, I love the downloadable content and the new expandable memory cartridge. We have owned other electronic leaning games in the past (my son is the youngest of 6)but this one is by far the best. Well worth the money!

This is a great product and educational gaming system. It keeps my 5 year old engaged. However, I must say that she was very disappointed that her "reward" was a trophy icon on her mobigo. This may be because her TAG reader unlocks a game for her to play. She was not enthused about an icon. It should really be noted in the instructions what the rewards are. My husband and I spent about an hour looking around for the rewards. A little heads up would be nice. We might have been able to Psyche her up for the trophy and avoid the tears.

Every toy in my house that I purchase is by Vtech. I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas. Sad to say the cartridge was missing. Glad I purchased an additional at the time or she would not have had anything to play with the mobigo with.

My mother purchased the MobiGo for my 2 year old daughter for Christmas the child loves it. We have a 5 yr old who has a nintendo DSi and they would fight over it. The MobiGo is so much better and they both love it and they LEARN. Great product and I love that you can download games. They should let you keep the games onto the mobiGo without having to buy the download game cartridge and include the ac adaptor but other than that I would recommend this product to anyone with children.

Overall, the Mobigo is great!!! My only problem is that my daughter is very disappointed that she can not receive her on-line prize nor download any games. For some reason the Mobigo will not connect. I have exchanged the product twice and unfortunately it still is not working. I also purchased the VReader and I was able to download the books with "No" problem but the Mobigo has me baffled. I continuously get the message that "Vtech device not found" I am considering just returning to the store and getting my money back because my daughter isn't receiving the full benefits of the game. My husband and I bought the MobiGo for our 3yr old daughter and she absolutely loves the it. She could play it for hours if we let her. Its easy for her to navigate and we even enjoy playing it.:) We bought some games to go with it. But honestly, she likes the Touch and Learn game pack that it came with even more(MOSTLY THE SQUIRREL ONE). We are now ordering the Storage Cartridge so we can download the free games. I just hope they get more soon. :)

My three-year old opended this box today, and we expected the game cartridge as promised on this website, the package contents, and in the instructions manual, but we received everything down to the soft cloth WITHOUT THE GAME CARTRIDGE. I spent the same amount of money that other's did and have no game for her to play.

This has my 3 year old daughter engaged and learning new things! She loves playing with it. We gave it to her for her 3rd birthday. It's a bummer that Vtech doesn't package the wall plug with it, but she's been using it since Dec 4, 2010, and although she walks away for periods of time, the battery usage is great! She has already mastered one of the games that comes with the starter cartridge! She loves the touchscreen, and it keeps her attention for a half an hour at a time. She calls it her "iPad" because of the touchscreen, so there's no more fighting over Mommie's iPad and who gets to play with it. So if you have an iPhone, iPod, or an iPad, this is a great learning device to get them started on because they are already used to using a touchscreen. I can't wait for Christmas when she gets more of the cartridges and keeps learning more things!

It's a bit on the heavy side, but it's durable. My daughter tears up anything that hasn't been well made. So, it's worth it! Next year I want to get her the V-reader!

My 7 year old saw this in the store and fell in love with it. So I researched it and the only thing is that it needs more cartiridges for older minded kids. Eventhough she is only in the 3rd grade her test says that she is on a 5th and 6st grade level. I would like to see more challenging things for the older kids because this is a well made toy that keeps their interest. I love well made toys that could last forever as long as the software is update each year. So please give us more challenging task for our children to do on this product. Give them more Spanish, Math and comprehension lessions. I just love that she loves it. Keep up the great work.

We bought the blue one for my son's 5 yr birthday. He loves it, but so did his 2 yr old sister. So we took a trip to [...] and now own a second Mobigo. Of course the princess got the pink one, but we share the games. I can't believe a 2 year old can play and learn so easily and my 5 year old is still callenge with the harder levels. My 3 yr old g'baby loves it, but I was real disappointed to find out it doesn't save the downloaded games. That's rediculous. It needs a little memory to make that work. If you download a game, then go on a trip to town...guess what happens when you turn it off or the batteries run down? Yeah the game is gone. Not fun for the little one that would want to play that game again before you get home. Also the games you buy for it are way to expensive. $10 would be enough for each. I've downloaded apps to my smart phone that she can play endlessly. We're taking this back for a refund.

We purchased this for our daughter's 4th birthday. She LOVES LOVES LOVES her Mobigo. The touchscreen is awesome and the QWERTY keyboard makes her feel like she can text.

Many years ago, for our son (now 11), we had the VSmile. At 3 years old, my daughter picked up the VSmile and loved it until it really just sang it's last song a couple months ago. She was devastated so we wanted to get her one of her own. That quality of the VSmile is what made us choose the Mobigo over other similar handheld gaming systems. It is a much better value as the console and games are both a better deal than the competitors as well.

I am so happy with the ability of view her progress online and the new downloadable games. She has only been using it for about a day, but I know this is going to have some staying power. :)

If there are any cons to the Mobigo it would be that the DC Plug-in is sold separately.

We are eagerly awaiting the Disney Princess game and would hope titles such as Thomas the Tank Engine, Wubbzy, Wall-E, Kai Lan, or really just about anything.

So very very happy with our Mobigo!

I, like many others looked at a few different systems before deciding on this one for my nearly 4 year old daughter. It was exceptionally useful on a long drive from WY to MO! I was impressed about the "free" download aspect but have since discovered that they are only free for a year; which is still a pretty good deal but it is something to keep in mind. The downloads are also at this time unable to save on your Mobigo meaning you have to re-download from your computer to your game every time they want to play one of the downloadable games...other than that - all is well in this house! Excited for more games!!

Vtech was able to combine fun, education, and advanced technical engineering into this product. All in all this is a great product. My baby plays with it daily for about hour and a half.. The only complaint I have is when she does really good on a stage it will tell her to connect to computer to receive an award, when I do there is no award. Hopefully this will be fixed

I kind of went between the MobiGo and the iXL but I know now that we made the right choice. My little girl is 2 1/2yrs old. She absolutely loves it. She figured out how it all worked in just a few minutes. Thank you V-Tech for making such a great learning tool. I do wish it had included the chargers so we didn't have to purchase them separate or that it would have been in a bundle pack. I would also like to see some more games soon. Curious George, Word World, Dragon Tales, Caillou, Super Why. But, I will recommend this product to other friends and family.

We debated between several portable systems like this for our 3 year old daughter. I'm SO glad we decided on this one because it is AWESOME!!!! She's been playing games on our phones (both are touchscreen) so this was PERFECT! She's been playing and laughing since we opened the package!

My 3 yr old and 7 yr old both love this! It has been a lifesaver on car trips, while waiting at Drs offices or restaurants.
It's easy for my 3 yr old to figure out and it doesn't matter if she plays correctly or not- other games we have keep reminding her how to play and that annoys her, this game doesn't do that, it lets her play her way!

I bought this for my daughter's 3rd birthday. It is absolutely the best thing I ever bought. It totally keeps her busy and you can take it with you or use at home. She will contently play this for long periods of time. For 3 year olds nothing is for very long. In less than 2 weeks she knew her alphabet inside and out. Bought the MobiGo for my 33 month old daughter because she wanted to play with my iPhone and her sister's DS. This is a great alternative for a little one her age. It's challenging yet simple enough so that she's not frustrated. Great learning toy!

This is a wonerful product, My daughter loves the games it came with & we have the Mr. Men, Toy story 3 & Dora. She plays them all equally. We had the Leapfrog II, and I believe we still have 3 games never taken out of the package, wasted our money; she played a couple times after Christmas. We have had the MobiGo for about a month and she does not want to put it down & I have to limit her time. The games all involve some sort of learning. Great Job V-Tech, Now come out with some more games. A Word World game would be awesome & a charger as opposed to the plug would be nice. I have recommended this to several friends. 2 have bought it so far and are quite pleased with it as well.

We bought this for our three year old and she loves it. The MobiGo was a life saver on a recent road trip, because she is not intressted in watching a t.v. screen. On the eight hour trip home I rarely herd a peep from her but I did hear her laughing. The only con I can think of is there is not a rechargable battery pack for it yet but I am sure VTech will have one soon. I would recomend this to anybody who has a busy little one or just wants to get something that is fun and helps them learn at the same time.
