Got this before my Daughter was born. She started to really play with it about 13 months old. I sometimes put it in the watch mode and she has learned some words from the repetition while she is playing with her other toys.

I got this for my son's first birthday. He was not really interested with it at first. He would play with the control without the games. I think it was too advance for him at one, so we just put it away. I completely forgot about until he was 2. But he loves playing with it now. He always says the color and shape when he presses them. But the counting only goes up to 5 and which he can count to 15. I think now he is too advance for the games. So i guess it is time to but a more advance system, I just wish we could have played it more.

Introduced this to my daughter at 13 mos after receiving it for her 1st birthday. She didn't understand what to do at that point. She played with it more alone than with the tv. Now, at 18 mos she was more inept to play it with the tv. She played with it for about 10 min before her busy self went on to something else. I will keep reintroducing it to her as time goes on.

My grandson has played with the system for 3 years and likes it very much. I have purchased most of the games for it so he does not get bored with the same ones. Now it will be used by his one year old sister since he is almost 4 and will be getting another system for his age group.

Comments about VTech Electronics V.Smile Baby Infant Development System:

My sister bought the Vtech for her 15 month old son, and he is not interested in it at all. My 2 1/2 yr old daughter loved playing with it at first, the controls are perfect for her and she knows what to do with them all, but the games were not advance enough for her. The game counts only to 5, and she can count much higher. I think the game is a great concept, and would get much better reviews if games were made for older children..

Comments about VTech Electronics V.Smile Baby Infant Development System:

i bought this for my 9 month old. she wasnt very interested in watching the screen at the time. so i waited for awhile. the "games" are not really "games" and she got bored with the activites very quickly. She was not impressed. I was hoping for something much more engaging then this. She enjoys flash cards much more. I am hoping that my younger child will be more interested in it. i am going to try and get games with characters they like.

Comments about VTech Electronics V.Smile Baby Infant Development System:

The controller was too confusing when she was under 3 year old. She plays more at 4 yrs. She can work it herself, but not enough education/entertainment to keep her interest for long. Would be better if it could grow with products for older age groups and progress as kids progress.

Comments about VTech Electronics V.Smile Baby Infant Development System:

I purchased this product when my first child turned 9 months old (he is now a little over 2). The age requirement says "9-36 months". I could not wait to get this for him. Needless to say, he hardly ever uses it and isn't all that great at interacting with it. My daughter, who is now 9 months old, isn't very interested in it either. I think the age requirement or suggestion should be higher. Does anyone else have a 9 month old who is interested in this and can actually play it?? Or even a 2 year old?? The screen is very fuzzy and just looks like something from the 80's. With as excited as I was to purchase this product, I'm not very happy with it.

Boring
Best Uses:
Young Children

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about VTech Electronics V.Smile Baby Infant Development System:

This could definitely be better, the bright vivid pictures that you see on the box is not what you get, i have a flat screen so i am not sure if thats why but it was very fuzzy. I have a 1 year old and she looked at it for a few minutes and that was it, the counting only goes to 5 and then characters don't do that many movements it is so basic basic i found it to be rather uninteresting. It definitely did not capture her attention.

Comments about VTech Electronics V.Smile Baby Infant Development System:

I think is great it helps babies interact and learn at the same time, my baby is still too little for some of the functions. Now he only plays with the key board and pays no attention to the screen, but later on as he grows,he will be more interested in it.
