This is the best cause and effect toy I can find for my son who is disabled. It was the first toy that taught him to reach and interact with a toy. My daughter also loved playing with it when she was younger and by far is one of the best toys on the market.

I bought this as a gift for my friend's one year old daughter. First of all making the purchase was quite simple[...] Her daughter absolutely loved it... it engaged her attention for a full 15 minutes which my friend truly appreciated. Her daughter could not get enough of the sounds and they all made her laugh and she talked back to them!! I recommend this for all buyers trying to find the perfect gift for a baby's first birthday.. plus it was very affordable

- My son started using this toy around 4 months and he just loved it.
- He would turn it over and see what was on the back and flipped the pages.
- I changed the batteries and it worked for awhile, but then it just stopped and makes a weird "zzzz" noise.

My daughter is 10mo old and I gave this to her right at the 9mo mark. She loves it! This little thing reminds me of a farm toy from back in my day, but so much nicer! It keeps her busy for 10-30min at a time. I'll find it in one room for part of the day then see her hauling it across the house to play elsewhere.

This toy is great for both my 1 year old and 3 year old. They love the songs and questions (Can you find the...?) It does interrupt itself during the songs if anything is touched.

I think this toy would cause ADD in a child.It doesn't complete a song-its too sensitive that it interupts itself- it sings out of tune which some might find endearing but personally it just sounds annoying once you have heard more than once. I really would suggest something else for both your childs music & play development and your sanilty.

My daughter has had this toy since she was 6 months old. She is now 2 and sometimes still plays with it since now she understands the words and instructions ("Can you find the cow?"). She learns the animal sounds and colors. My younger daughter is 6 months old and loves to bang on the keys and turn the page. She looks very interested in the lights and sounds and will stay engaged for at least 10 minutes at a time.
